Biography:
Patricia Ganea is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development. Her research area is cognitive development, with a focus on the social, linguistic, and representational aspects of young children’s learning. Current research projects in her lab examine children's ability to reason counterfactually, the relation between counterfactual reasoning and scientific reasoning skills, children's science misconceptions, and children's learning from language and symbolic media.
