Biography:
Susan Graham, Ph.D., R.Psych. is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Director of the Owerko Centre at the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute. The University of Calgary centre is dedicated to studying neurodevelopment and neurodevelopmental disorders. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cognition and Development. Graham’s research program focuses on child development during the infancy and preschool years with specific focus on delineating the interactive developmental trajectory of early language, cognitive, and social-cognitive development. She has received a number of awards recognizing her research program, including a Canada Research Chair (2003-2015), a Killam Annual Professor Award (2015) and the Killam Research Excellence Award (2017). In addition, she is an elected fellow of the Association for Psychological Science. Her research program is currently funded by a Discovery grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and an Insight Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
