Lexical development is shaped by a linguistic environment embedded in a larger learning environment. These flash talks examine features of children’s language learning environment including language input, cues to word meaning, co-occurrences, and distributional diversity, that arise in the interactions between children and caretakers, and potential mechanisms that make use of components of the language learning environment.
