A Political Scientist Practicing Pre-Law Advising in the First and Second Millennia

Abstract

Political scientists are well-suited to pre-law advising in so far as political science is "the most liberal of the liberal arts", and law school admissions officers prefer applicants with liberal arts backgrounds. The paper draws on my wealth of experience and knowledge as a political scientist advising students regarding preparation for the study of law since 1976.
