The Southwestern Social Science Association, founded in 1919, is the oldest scholarly social science association. SSSA is an umbrella organization with affiliates in the areas of:

A collegial organization, we encourage interdisciplinarity and the sharing of ideas across the various disciplines. While we value well-developed, professional basic and applied presentations we also serve as a gateway for graduate students and junior faculty interested in respectful feedback on their work.
