Abstract

This panel curates a conversation among scholars who research food production and delivery practices in STS. How do digital technologies merge the production and consumption of food? How does academic research travel and not travel, translate and mistranslate into food policy? How has Uber during the COVID-19 pandemic shaped food delivery in urban centers? As a whole this panel considers the ways technologies and scientific studies make and remake food distribution in urban centers?
