This session approaches scholarly communication and its infrastructures from the perspective of practitioners, designers, and makers of digital infrastructure. In what ways are the design and implementation of research (infra)structure such as metadata standards, ontologies, or search interfaces shaping scholarly practices? The contributions in this session explore the question through theoretical contributions as well as case studies and prototypes.
